I saw the clip of Katseye at the Nickelodeon kids choice awards. Wow Kpop has come so far. I couldn't imagine me in the 2000's seeing this as a kid 🥹

The K-pop formula is ingenius and it was only a matter of time until a non-Korean group used it successfully to outgrow the commercial boundaries imposed on K-pop by the Korean language and by racism against east asians

 

Katseye are absolutely exploding with charisma, visuals and talent and they just needed some songs to meet the moment and that's all it will take. Their growth will be enormous this year. Altho I personally dont care for either Gnarly or Gabriella its impossible not to root for them because they're such a stacked group talent wise

This is so cool I'm sorry but can't believe Kickflop is gonna be stealing all the roty awards from them just because they are from a big company, CYE's album debut is still one of the best from me this year!

that song was the closing song of the second generation, the last hit by a 2nd gen girl group before twice, red velvet and blackpink entering the new music era

time really flies so fast tho, but the girl group batches is faster

 

2ne1/snsd/sistar were really long and so is the next gen

 

but the gens right now seem to flash so fast

Manon, Lara, Yoonchae and Daniela going live all the time really was a blessing for them. 
 

But it's crazy how this changed who they want to promote. These four are much more pushed in the music videos. Meghan and Sophia much more feel like side characters this comeback.

Kickflop has been a complete non-factor, I doubt they'll even remember to nominate them
