one of the songs is quite literally a better version of I Am, it was complete with airplane visuals in the movie

It's actually really commendable that kpop demon hunters didn't just co-opt the aesthetic of kpop and wrote checks to Twice and Teddy, very clearly was basing its idol groups off of real life ones instead of being inauthentic, didn't take the obvious label puppet slaves angle that literally every mention of kpop in the west before this has, and managed to do all of that without leaning too far into weaboo cringe compilation territory. It's not bad on its own as a cute animated movie musical for families either. There's a million ways that movie could have been downright offensive, especially with the number of non-Korean or even non-asian creatives attached to it.
