Music will always be the most important regardless of how good an artist sing. Look at Babymonster. They are young and more talented then SMrookies but the music is bad and no one is replaying that. 
you could be the best singer but have bad songs, are you still gonna stan? Well most modern kpop fans do cuz they care about visuals and dancing more than music enjoyment. If a song is good, it's good. I'm not just gonna blindly force myself to like a SM group cuz I'm a Sheep. It's why I dropped Riize after impossible. If the music ain't hitting, what are we even doing here?

yea for me it's the SM standards tbh. idk about riize but NCT as a whole has (and had ) some of the best vocalists in kpop. SM has always been famous for their group's vocals. even rappers like amber could sing very well. and they usually have unique voice colors compared to the rest of kpop. H2H so far is just faceless when it comes to vocals. they sound just like any other girl group… and three songs in and they still don't show any vocal abilities even in the studio. aespa lip synced a lot but at least their second song was a ballad and even black mamba showcased their vocals

i love their songs but the way they're just absolutely faceless is unacceptable for SM tbh

 

the song is a bop and catchy but there's zero personality in the vocals  i was expecting the first comeback to showcase their talent more. they feel rushed so far

the reason why 2h2 looks nugu is because sm gives them $5 budget!

 

anyways, sm groups always take time years to peak and rarely peak upon debut, unlike some other groups 

i don't expect them to be snsd 2.0 cause they're childern, but at least give them better demos.

Even though I love them, it's sad that The Grace was slowly pushed into the background while SNSD became the face of SM.
