Lee Sooman: King of K-Pop review:

It was interesting for a Sheep, the only real moments they show of him at work doing are in the first 30 minutes. Taeyong actually gave better and more candid answers to the interview questions than Suho and Leeteuk which shocked me. Lee Sooman in his interviews made some decent points about anti-asian racism in entertainment reporting, DBSK's contracts legally being declared not to be predatory in any way except for the term lengths, and how Chris Lee is a lying snake, but the actual directors/producers didn't know how to structure a movie around a narcissist man reminding the world that he was right about everything all along. I got the vibe that this was in works before the SM corporate shakeup drama and they lost a lot of footage to LSM's exit. It felt scrapped together in the cut with random unrelated interviews. Yoo Youngjin was the only major SM staff other than Chris Lee who interviewed for this, and neither of them hold any significant position at SM in 2025. The aespa interview was visibly conducted around the time they filmed the Savage MV as well. They also randomly jumpscared by showing the jonghyun funeral footage, which given that this is a glazing documentary that only appeals to SM sheep, was in poor taste as that's very difficult to watch. The only moments of it that I liked were kind of aside from the main plot, which was unfocused and ridiculous.

omg I was reminded of this self-congratulatory documentary just today. Now I have to see it with my own eyes.

Not Randall from Recess

For somebody who has accused me of being a racist on more occasions than I can count on one hand, while also admitting that you don't fully buy the accusations you're making, you sure do love posting subs in support of a literal maga troll.

The interesting bits really are interesting, it's just sprinkled throughout a dumpster fire of a documentary.

I just didn't expect to see Randall from Recess in here, leave me alone :suburban: And idc about that user especially if he's a MAGA as you claim

It might actually be time to close the base for the first time in years. It's become so weird in here that people will look the other way on actual bigot trolls. I'm genuinely tired of doing this for pages at a time but I'm also not going to allow hate speech or blatant lies to slide when they're posted, especially when it's about me or groups I belong to. :psyduck:

It's not just a claim, here are the receipts. They're all quoted posts so you can follow the links and say I didn't edit or take anything out of context. I've been trying to speak up about literal hate speech, something you have been extremely passionate about banning users for in the past. :celestial2:

For what it's worth I also found their posts...strange but I wasn't sure if they were meant to be ironic or serious. I also think English isn't that person's first language so there may be some confusion overall :psyduck: you aren't wrong though.

They're easily the most interesting group in 5th gen right now, such a breath of fresh air, especially with so many groups feeling like NJ clones these days. I live for their maximalist style and that whole 'we're rich' energy they bring.

I wonder if their success will lead to a new wave of more co-ed groups debuting

Teddy reheated his BigBang/2ne1/Blackpink nachos for the 837634th times and people think it's groundbreaking :deadbanana2:

Those are GD's moldy 2009 nachos that he's moved on from actually. Teddy sounded completely different as a producer before GD was involved. :sabrina:

I am thinking about going through Red Velvet's entire discography from start to finish for the first time, and start my Red Velvet redemption era and give them a chance. Which albums should I get most excited for? :celestial5:  @youresotoxic @Zack

The only RV albums that I have ever listened to in full was the Chill Kill album, back when it was released, which was a solid album.

These were my favorite songs from the album

Them being the first co-ed group under a major company is already groundbreaking, and make them stand out, especially in this era where most 5th gen groups are just replicating NewJeans

this is like a little documentary for people who want to know more about the members/group

I'm so invested!! famous has been on repeat since it dropped :WAP: might be a little teddy tramp after all :gaycattel:

Wait there's 5 of them?

That changes things

My friend and I were talking Katseye and she said the group works because there isn't a full white person or a blonde (Adela or Emily would have filled that role). What do yall think?

If they were going for a Winx or Bratz type of deal they always have at least one white blonde but lord knows they are not hurting for representation.

First co-ed group under a major company with good music, maybe. :cm:

I thought the point of putting project in an idol group name was to designate it as a side/temporary project though? Like JJ Project, SM The Ballad, ZB1, etc. Project group is a term in the industry.

Famous is up there with gnarly for ksoty so far but SNSD did everything first, including being a co-ed group. :cm:
