2022 was peak for the 4th gen girlies… I've lesserafim and newjeans all fell from their peak relatively quick…

Funny enough 2022 was just an alright year for aespa.

'Girls' mini still sold very well but the title is among their least popular. 'Illusion' kinda saved their digital performance that year.

It's true that Girls is not a flop relative to other groups. It was an underperformance for aespa's standards, but there are some groups now who would love to be doing Girls numbers.

 

Title track debuted in Melon top 10 (daily) and stayed there for 2 weeks, 1.1M debut on Spotify Global, album with record breaking 1.6M sales, plus a hit B-side.

 

However, the era was low key a mess and Girls as an album is their worst release imo (but Illusion, Girls and LTS were great).
