These girls are so ******* talented, they truly deserve to be the biggest 4th gen gg and I'm not even kidding. Sorry IVE. 

They deserve so much more. I think the problem has always been that vocally, they're all super talented but they don't have great chemistry and JYP hasn't found a way to make them work. I truly think Blue Valentine's reception is thanks to Know About Me giving them that traction.

And aespa were not 2B streams ahead of SKZ at the same point in their careers, why are you lying?  SKZ had already surpassed 5B streams when they were the same age as aespa, and mind you, most of those streams came from 2020-2023 alone. Which means that SKZ almost pulled almost 5B streams in a 3 year period, which is something aespa couldn't do.

 

anyways remember last month when SKZ crushed the global queens aespa in the VMA voting? I remember STAYs celebrating when they learned that they were going up against aespa, since no one views aespa as a threat 

A reminder that SKZ's album in the 3rd week was outperforming aespa's debut week on the Billboard 200

SKZ debuted in 2018, and JYPE artists didn't even have their music on Spotify until that same year. Despite that, most of SKZ's 5 billion streams came between 2020 and 2023 - just 3 years. For aespa to surpass SKZ in total streams, they'd need to start consistently outperforming them or at least catch up, but the gap only keeps getting wider every year between them and SKZ.

 

And let's be real - what's even considered a "real hit"? Like why are you acting like aespa are snatching global GP hits? They're mainly recognized within K-pop circles, not outside of them just like other Kpop acts. If we're talking strictly about domestic hits and success in Korea, then sure, you might have a point, but globally, SKZ are clearly ahead in almost every major metric.
