Theyre likely getting a lot of funding right now because the group had so much hype, but if they don't serve hits the labels will stop pushing so much. Lisa has gotten like western pop star level push and hasn't snagged a hit yet. 
 

They need to find an identity for her that works and keeps her loop fans but makes her appealing to westerners as well. Right now it seems like they're throwing everything at the wall and seeing what sticks.

They're all vastly different you have no idea what image Lisa is trying to have which makes it hard to connect with her. Jennie is having the same issue. All 3 of her songs are also all very different. There's no clear image or direction. 
 

Rose at least serves Taylor-lite "hipster" and is consistent with her image so she's surprisingly had the most streaming success even though her profile as a celebrity is/was smaller than Jennie and Lisa.

 

Not even meant as a "drag" as it's amazing to see labels put money into female K-pop idol solos but it seems like they're just trying to capitalize off their hype and not actually properly trying to have an era. So I'm not sure they'll actually connect with western audiences 

I actually get what your saying and I feel like they are still trying to find themselves bc they didn't really get to with the yg solos

you can tell they have a lot of freedom which is good for them

but with rosé they definitely had her on a western schedule lead/promo single/album/2nd single and she literally asked Taylor for advise

maybe that's what's missing with Lisa and Jennie, the understanding of western releases

How can they be lacking understanding of western releases, it's not rocket science and with so many influences, they should know what to do, the thing, except for Zen, everything Lisa and Jennie have released is not single material, only Rose understood the assignment.

This is so not true, no one here knew what she was capable of because the teasers only showed her dancing around with a sword, people hated Karina's dancing, said NingNing wasn't a strong enough main vocalist and only Giselle was kind of praised around here for being a decent rapper. Everyone was onto them, until they ended everyone's faves.
