Its not even about the songs themselves, most of this bombing is due to the rollout and the choices being made for it. Her team really dropped the ball.

Its not even about the songs themselves, most of this bombing is due to the rollout and the choices being made for it. Her team really dropped the ball. 

Practically ZERO promo performances  She doesn't even make any dance practice videos or performance dance videos, nothing to keep her music flowing or generate a viral fun  moment.

The way she handles herself is boring and frustrating, and her team zuxx  ... ugh it's sad because the album is amazing and has so much potential 

 

 

And I still haven't received my "Alter Ego" albums and I ordered them about a month ago

finally listened to this album and I feel so catfished by the SMASH that was New Woman. it's the only interesting song on this bomb

eh while this album maybe "generic" she is still objectively a versatile performer. something lorde and sabrina aren't 

Chill and Thunder slap 

The physical release is very disappointing for me. I have the kiki version. It is not really proper hardbook, just paperback gluten on hard cover. Photos all look the same and no so much added goodies for collectors. This was most expensive cd from all 4 blackpink solos and it's a shame that you don't get Born again. If you pay for it you should get all songs.  I love the album though. New woman is best song from all solos.

This album is absolutely phenomenal.

Moonlit Floor is still my fav but like there are no skips, it is a great listening experience.

The album is good i just wish she released this as 4 different EPs cause it doesn't feel cohesive at all which is also the point of it after being named ALTEREGO and Lisa having 4 alteregos (or 5?) Idk she didn't explain that well either.

the lack of performances (that she keeps saying are coming) and the unnecessary hate really lowkey ruining the era

New Woman is amazing tho and a highlight in pop music lately. 

Rosalia was obviously chosing the best song to appear. Queen behaviour.

ohh i like this idea, kinda like Miley wanted to with the She is coming EPs
and tbh releasing multiple EPs would certainly be a better strategy than taking 8 months to release the album  and would fit with the Alter Ego concept as you said

oh I see the vision, kinda like BIGBANG's MADE EPs then compiled into a full album later on

I see the vision with the EP strategy, would've been way superior to what we got.

 

I pressed play when it came out and i was suuuper hyped. I liked some tracks (the singles released before + the feats + Chill & Elastigirl) but i feel like the concept was poorly executed and the material could've been better. Left disappointed, unfortunately.
