Knock her down but don't count her out. Lisa is going to reflect on a postmortem and give the performance of her career in Coachella and will reinvigorate the hype for her album.

Because it's another basic pop song but at the end of the day we know it killed the hype of the era. New woman >>>>

Rosie was #17 in Italy as well.

I don't understand the numbers, the hype was there, she's been everywhere.

She's successful in France though, she has been everywhere here

Mess. Who could've thought Lisa's first album would perform so much worse than Rose's

wdym "much worse" than rosé? rosé's album did great

102k first week - the same exact numbers as born pink's first week sales and just 8k away from beating blackpink's biggest first week for the album 110k

spotify first week:

1. rosé, rosie - 179M

2. blackpink, born pink - 170M

3. blackpink, the album - 148M

4. lisa, alter ego - 91M

Wow, she released four MVs for this era—I doubt she has much budget left.

I still don't understand why she chose FUTW solo version for the latest MV. A Future feature would have drawn in more rap fans, plus, an aggressive flex track loaded with F-bombs like that was never going to be a hit.

I know y'all here hate the Tyla collab, but it actually has the potential to be a cute streaming hit. We need a Coachella performance (since they're performing on the same days) and a music video with bikinis, fun choreography, and some hot men in the background :hippo:

Rose's album did great and I was expecting Lisa's to do as great her hers considering Lisa has always been considered the BP member with most western appeal plus all the high-profile features and big promo slots she got for the album

The numbers really are disappointing

I think, sadly, that "Western appeal" is not just about image and music but also about personality and language barrier. In that case Jennie and Rosé have more Western appeal as they are able to perform well in English interviews and exhibit personalities that appeal more to Western audiences, which makes sense as they both spent time in Oceania

We can see that Lisa still struggles a little bit with insecurity in her interviews and sometimes says the wrong stuff (like about not liking singing and her team coming up with stuff), Western audiences gravitate way more towards 'involved artists' than mere idols, and Rosé and Jennie know that so that's what they try to highlight in their interviews

This is so true. Her being Thai plays a lot to the hate train she's getting. Her being in love with a white billionaire didn't help either. Poor her tbh.

Not a 25% drop from first predictions :rip: between this and the streams up and downs, I have no idea wth happened.

lets be real here, APT, number one girl, toxic till the end are more of what western people listen to than Rockstar, New Woman and Fxck Up The World

lisa also doesn't have the western appeal cause even as a huge stan watching her on western award shows and interviews, she looks more of a kpop act "visiting" like the usual kpop act appearances.

rosé is very natural and her personality shines on her western appearances since she can speak the language fluently and is a yapper :toofunny3:

I think jennie's album will do much better than lisa's and will have longevity cause its not very kpop like lisa's album

Lisa just has a really juvenile approach to her art. The comments here reflect Alter Ego's reception outside Stan twitter:

The way my fyp praises Jennie and Lisa get dragged all the time they had the audacity to compare her to Ice spice or call her an industry plant. :rip:
Imagine saying this in 2019.

i feel like we forget lalisa era, outside of breaking YouTube records it was panned on release day and I think it did less stream in a week than -r- money going viral saved her ass.

Future fans don't stream his collabs with female artists.

Including him would have been a waste of money.
