The Onion acquires Infowars

Featured Replies

Believe it or not, The Onion has officially acquired Alex Jones' right-wing conspiracy empire through a court-ordered auction, with the support of the Sandy Hook Elementary families.

Quote

"The dissolution of Alex Jones' assets and the death of Infowars is the justice we have long awaited and fought for," said Robbie Parker, whose daughter was killed in the 2012 school shooting.

Quote

"From day one, these families have fought against all odds to bring true accountability to Alex Jones and his corrupt business," Chris Mattei, an attorney for the Connecticut families.

As part of the deal, The Onion will own Infowars' website, product inventory, customers lists, social media accounts, and intellectual property.

It's kinda a useless aquisition tho because without Alex won't be hosting it so the ppl will unsubscribd and stop buying products. He is already working on a new network and show. Idk how buying a social media show will get money back to the families tbh.
bow if he was forced to still host the program and have all the money generated be given to The Onion and then to the families now that could help pay up
