The social media buzz came before it was rising on radio. If social media, streams and radio all rose at the same time, this would have charted higher.

I agree. This could have easily gone top 40

It sucks that it always feel that she's on the verge of blowing up with a second hit, but it doesn't happen in the last minute. I know the South African girls loved getting this one during their summer, but I still think saving this for the US summer would've been a better idea.

 

Either way, P2S helped keeping her name out there and that will help in the long run, I believe.

 

 

The team was simply too slow capitalising on the hype the song once had . It could have easily been a top 40 hit for her . Maybe even a top 20 !

it's not only social media noise. It's close to 200M streams on Spotify, so it really doesn't look like a #88 song. 

when it was streaming well, there were a lot of Christmas songs ahead of it. and then they only sent it to radio when the song was dying.

 

a similar thing happened with Jump, which also has like 225M streams on Spotify and it didn't even debuted on the Hot100. and I know a lot of her streams are international, but a big part of it is her label not getting the timing right for her singles. hopefully they can do better with her next lead single, which usually is a lot easier to get the timing right since everything about the release is more instant.

 

 

It should have way more adds on pop radio

Also they confirmed her injury was a back injury.

Yeah, radios are keeping it up afloat, but it never really took off on streaming in the US.

That explains the weird charts run.

Once radios drop it, it will fall off for good.

 

 

I really hope and pray that Coachella will cause Push 2 Starr's renaissance, at least in US. It's very stable 6 months later, they can fight one last time until the roll out for the sophomore album.
