I'm not the fondest of this sound from her anymore. It's gotten tiresome. I genuinely wish she would go back to 'Been Thinking' energy or even tapped into 'No. 1' to show some variety to the GP. 

The chorus takes way tooooo long to come in.

I doubt this can be a hit.

Maybe she will switch it up a bit. She said these 3 new songs felt like the debut album's vibe. So maybe they're already planning the sound to evolve a bit for the sophomore.

Ugh, finally a decent lead time.

 

I'm sick of waiting months for stuff to drop. I get it, long lead times generate hype and a big first week, but it's starting to get ridiculous and I feel like I'm spending too much time looking forward. 
 

2 days of waiting is fine. It's enough time to generate interest in young people without feeling like they have to wait forever.

She said her next album sound is already way different.  
 

Deluxe is just a gift to fans to wrap up the era since these songs have a similar sound as OG debut.  

I was hearing all her songs to do a project for my channel on Twitch, and obviously I see the change of her sound to more pop for "internationalize" her.

Getting Late, Overdue and even the recently One Call are more african sounds. Been Thinking was perfect to people know her and Water was her big moment (at this time). All the tracks in her first album are great, perfect choice for the singles (ART, Truth Or Dare, Jump and the absolutely lovely Breathe Me). No. 1, On and On and On My Body were well recognized.
