LP1 is great, but cellophane alone is enough for me to put MAGDALENE above it sorry!

I think LP1 is more consistent but Magdalene has such HIGHER highs... sad day, mary magdalene, mirrored heart, cellophane 

Easily. I loved it when it came out but upon revisiting have found it to be a very tedious listen. Cellophane is a masterpiece but the production outside of that is so unfocused at times.

I mean, yeah, but Magdalene is great too.

LP1 just has more of it's own identity, I think, while Magdalene borrows a bit too much from Kate Bush at times. Still a 8.5/10 if not a 9/10 though!

Never. Magdalene is a 1000000/10 record and arguably the best album released in 2019.

 

LP1 is amazing and very interesting too (cant believe its turning 10 this year) but it doesnt match Magdalene's perfection 

Magda explores more sounds and is more playful in production and textures and definitely more emotionally grand that LP1. LP1 is tight and esoteric , the production is colder, sleekier and sexier. Both a 10 along with Melissa. 

I used to think so but nope, not at all. Magdalene is not as accessible as LP1 but it's an absolute masterpiece and it's far more profound and unique. One of the best albums in recent times tbh.
