Well it's better than everything on 143 that's for sure. 
 

This songs main issues are that it's far too short, the backing track is a bit jarring and it also doesn't match the lyrics in my opinion. 
 

She sounds gorgeous and I'm hoping this is just a little taster of what's to come as opposed to being a "lead single".

Apparently they're saying it's the lead of an EP but JoJo always teased an album so... I hope it's not an EP/album situation like Trying not to think about it... Her full length projects deserve better than that.

She confirmed it was an EP at her book signing at the Strand NYC.

That's a bummer. I got the impression she was working on an album by what I heard in her podcasts. As long as the album comes out soon-ish I'm satisfied tho.

She said in her podcasts that she's planning to release an EP then tour shortly after and during the tour she will get a sense of what her audience is feeling then she'll release an album. She's also workshopping a new original broadway play so she's a busy lady.

 

My guess is that, after two R&B-heavy projects, she wants to trial out a poppier sound without fully committing to it. Hopefully it is a similar length to TNTTAI rather than a shorter EP.

I love JoJo to pieces but this sounds dumb as hell. 
 

Her fans will enjoy anything she puts out. I just wish she would put an album together, be proud of the body of work she has created, create a plan/ roll out and go for it.

This is going to sound hypocritical coming from me cause I usually like shorter songs but I kinda wish there was more. Also Wish she went off vocally on the last chorus.

My thoughts exactly. It's cute but lacks that signature powerhouse vocal punch while being a touch too short. Was just listening to GTK today and WHEW what an album. Her lower register, riffs, harmonies, upper belts etc. 

 

Really wasn't expecting this sound and I'm very curious what the rest of the EP will be like

I'll take any new music from her at this point, even if it's an EP (even though I'm desperate for a new album). 

 

But we know she's a busy girl and indie (I think), so she's getting that cheque elsewhere and also exploring new territory that could expose her new success (such as the Cyndi Lauper musical) and get her name back out there in the mainstream again. I think the book is helping with that also.

I'm loving the snippet, hope I don't come to find out she didn't like the song 3 years later

I'm kinda scared cause I pretty much prefer the snippet she officially shared on that 20th Anniversary post, the "Now I'm stronger than I've ever been" bit.

she needs to get active on tik tok become a instagram thot cuz that will get her followers and she should do sexy dances like thots on tik tok. She can get a fan base again from gen z that might support her. I dont know what she needs to do at this point. She put out two great albums that went unnoticed due to lack of radio airplay and promo but she had creative control. She should try the tik tok sounds and maybe try to get a hit. Girl is 33 its now or never.

this is so good. We need everyone to stream the hell out of it next week. Put JoJo back where she belongs.. on top. 

I like the snippet but it's frustrating how we were getting more fed while she was stuck with Wackground limbo than when she's free  an EP after promises of an album is quite disappointing
