This data fluctuate all the time based on few tracks that are more viral and make up the biggest chunk of the album's total streams. So yeah, the answer to the thread is: folklore has cardigan and august. Any thought based on this data about people liking one "album" better than another is not appropriate. Same goes with Lover album being allegedly a favourite: it's not. Cruel Summer and Lover (track) are just two streaming juggernauts.

Midnights is that quick little number 1 for her albeit the humongous numbers. Same with Tourtre, they will not be the albums that people remember in years. 

Folklore's 4 year anniversary a few days ago + august approaching. Midnights was consistently above it before that

The album that spent 68 weeks in the Top 10, the most of all her albums, was a quick little number 1? Can you guys at least try to not just say literally anything?

 

midnights also has more total streams than folklore by far despite being released much later, and folklore will never catch up

Girl? Folklore is only above it because August is coming lol. Midnights is the bigger album and will continue to be bigger. People just love it. 

I always knew MID will be forgotten, even reputation will surpass it soon 
Same will happen with TTPD, there are no hits on the album and even with 31 tracks it will will be forgotten and outstreamed in like 2 years

The difference os that Taylor only grew bigger from folklore. Beyoncé kept selling less and less after ST. So no, not comparable at all. 

i'd say talent won but the far inferior Loser is outstreaming both. We've been living through dark times, but folklore will prevail in the end.

She grew bigger by regressing creatively and compromising her artistic integrity to maximize her commercial success (see the 31-track playlist taken right from Morgan Wallen's playbook) and to appeal to wider demographics (dumbing down her lyrics, returning to immature outlooks, making hyperspecific relationship drama intrinsically connected to the music). This isn't something to be proud about. 

 

Beyoncé might have kept 'selling less and less', but she's actually taken risks with her craft, boldly experimented with different genres + collaborators, and made proper artistic and cultural statements with every single project after 2013, effectively securing her legacy as not only a generational popular artist, but as an all-time force who pushed music forward and set new standards for excellence. There's a reason why she's a celebrity among celebrities.

 

Taylor had genuine potential to build a respectable, admirable legacy following "folklore" and "evermore", where these projects could have set the groundwork for an exciting new phase in her career. But instead she and her team increasingly cheapened her brand for the high of intense overexposure and widespread appeal. It might be fun for the hardcore stans to vicariously live through, but it's not sustainable, especially when the music becomes increasingly mediocre and repetitive. Numbers only reflect contemporary success. Albums like "Midnights" and "THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT" won't stand the test of time in the grand scheme of Taylor's career - let alone when it comes to future discussions of the most important music of the decade. On the other hand, "RENAISSANCE" and its tour bringing black queer culture to the forefront and "COWBOY CARTER" inciting conversations about representation in country as well as "TEXAS HOLD 'EM" 's success making the genre cool to diverse mainstream audiences even outside the US... that's something no record-breaking sales can organically generate.

Yep, not comparable at all. Beyoncé' s latest albums have failed to last the few months past their releases. Imagine lasting the test of time. While Taylor's albums will be remembered by the millions of people consuming them now, which has been the case for EVERY Taylor Swift album since 2006.
