Such a strangely promoted era. Why perform this at the VMA's when there is no radio or streaming promo at all?

Im wondering the same.... why did they not send this song to US Radios?? will they push another song during release week??

You know what? I have to say I expected more from this album / era. And I'm not even talking about the horrible rollout PR wise. It just seemed like she had her **** together and had a thought out good rollout bc it seemed like she was so proud of it and knew what we wanted. Welp. But I have accepted it's gonna be maybe not my #1 album this year but a nice album with nice bops like Lifetimes. I still have hope for Gorgeous, Gimme Gimme and Nirvana and if the other tracks are meh I wouldn't be surprised but also not disappointed. At least she's not releasing clown music this time (other artists can't relate hihi) 

 

BUT what made me accept this way more is that Katy truly is just out there, having her best life with her music and spreading joy. She doesn't take everything too seriously and neither should we.

Now that I got this off my chest I'm kinda more hyped for the album than before lol.

Great question. Lifetimes is DOA for the US audience. It makes no sense. I expected her team to use brain for once and premiere Gimme Gimme there, or at least Nirvana. WW and Lifetimes are so DOA. Lifetimes could do something in European clubs/radio but that's it.

Only VMAs can save this era. Full nostalgia good performance + Lifetimes. Of course people don't care about TV but this can go into internet of course

Couldn't agree more, it's a harmless bop. The actual interesting thing is people expected HUGE HUGE smashes from her like... she hasn't been doing that for a decade, there's an obsession with Katy Perry there really is.

The truth is that certain people pretend to root for her comeback in order to build hype and then destroy it with more echo. It's just hypocrisy that shows up over and over again over Katy, it's ridiculous.

One of the things i love about this era is how she's serving pure sex and sexyness.
She fuc***p with the dr puke productions but she's been serving some of her best looks in years
Flopping but with sophistication.  And the songs are fun. Perfect for dancing.
For all the glamorous gays who are vacationing. Lifetimes is perfect for it.



Im so glad she's not serving clown makeup or ugly wigs or ugly dresses servin grandma  
And snooze music
