The album is way better than I expected. Even Candy Paint sounds great and finally, mastered correctly. She s SLAYED

alright so it's cute, i liked 4-5 songs of it and as a "DEBUT" this is weak but if this was a 2nd album this would be solid

also Waves (aka her best song ever) should've been on this

Waves is probably considered too old even though she seems to like it.

I am rooting for Normani, but this body of work does not justify the many years of waiting. Although this is not trash, it is not exciting. There is nothing new and groundbreaking. Motivation would always be the song that could have made her MPG if was pushed and used properly.

 

Only song I like is Insomia. And what a waste of a James Blake collab.

I didnt really listen to any of her music aside from Motivation before this so lemme add Waves, Wild Side (extended) and Fair since they kinda fit the sound

 

 

Lmao it's clear who's a real Normani fan and who is just a fair weather fan cause she's been saying who she is for a long time now. She was never going to be a MPG & has always been an experimental R&B/contemporary artist. Her only pure pop song is motivation and she tells y'all time and time again that she hates it lol.

 

I'm gonna say this again—if you don't know who the "vocal bible" is then sweetie this isn't the album for you, let alone the artist for you. Normani is Janet's & Ciara's daughter, a lifetime student of them both.

I mean all of you guys saying things like that are mentioning Motivation. Normani hinted multiple times that she didn't even want to put this song out, why would you expect her debut to sound anything like that ? She put out a NORMANI album not a pop album

it's a solid album and I'll listen to it all year round but not worth the 6 year wait
