I wouldn't read too much into it. People can be in the studio and release something tomorrow or 20 years from now. She also could be working on a million things not tied to an imminent release. What has been speculated is that she's slated to do SOMETHING Q2/Q3. the steady drumbeat of content/appearances we've gotten would lend itself to that but if that's the case then I think March and April are going to be the key months in terms of announcements/teases etc

It actually makes more sense for her to announce her new label when the music is announced. It has less impact when announced and connected with nothing.

No shade but anyone with two working ears knows that's her lmaooo She did great and if the rest of the rumors are true about this year then her management was extremely smart to start the year with this.

Her People interview when she did Dreamville fest (Hennessy pop up) was the only time she's said "I'm always working on new music" so take that for what you will.

This song should get her her first Grammy, if it keeps performing the way it does. It's just so good. And a great throwback to 00's R&B while still sounding fresh. I know Atlantic has to be pleasantly surprised, because this is setting up whatever era is to come in such a strong, organic way that she's never really had in her career before. also, this is proof that it only takes one strong record to set up an artist for success.

A video would really drive this further. It's still climbing decently on radio.

It's not unlistenable or bad in the sense that the production is bad, but I think the overall sentiment is for someone with her talent she made a middle of the road album that doesn't push the needle in making her stand out But…hey. Lol

Well this album won't go anywhere. But she sounded great. Her EP was more interesting sonically. bless her.

Obsessed with this record. She's very hypnotic on it. l love her uptempos but this feels like a more fun Run For the Hills. hope this does something for her.

Of course there are some but I think we're referring to the overwhelming majority who have been praising the album.

I'm seeing the opposite. A lot of people who were just casual listeners have really enjoyed this album.

I'm actually quite aware of how charting works, and this is still in lie with what I saw her first day Spotify numbers being. with that said, the reception of her album has been much more unexpected and a lot more people are talking about the album which was the point of my initial statement. There's no indication of if her streaming numbers will fall, rise or hold steady yet so back to my original statements. So, no we don't know where this is headed commercially yet.

My question still is 1) this is just day one of the tracking week so why are people worried about this? 2) as mentioned earlier this doesn't include her AM numbers so why are people acting like this is her final number for BB? More and more people are finding the album and streaming, so I think people should wait til Tuesday-Weds to make all of these declarations.

It means don't worry about them and just stream the music. quick enough for you? She's not getting dropped.
