As we all know, Katy Perry abandoned Dr. Luke once Kesha's trial took place. However, there have been multiple instances indicating Dr. Luke's involvement in her new record. This is all speculation but take what you want from it:

 

- Dr. Luke and his family recently watched Katy's vegas show and she took pictures with his children

- Rolling Stone has heavily implied his involvement on the new record, mentioning her in a 2023 article about the producer

- Dr. Luke and his new team of producers (Aaron Joseph, Rocco Valdes, Ryan OG) have been liking Katy's posts recently, moreso than her past album eras (Witness, Smile, etc.)

- There have been blind items speculating a Kim Petras collab (KP x KP)

 

Do we think we will see Lukasz Gottwald on the credits of Katy's new album? Will you be shocked? Why or why not? Discuss.

Honestly I wanted it to be the case a while back but considering the **** he's been producing lately I hope he stays far away

Probably. Katy is a pragmatist. If it's good, I'll buy it used so my coins don't go to him. 

If he does and she flops it will be so funny and I'll respect her even less as an artist, if we can even call her that. Flop with dignity, sis.

When it comes to Dr Luke people seem to hold her to a higher standard so I'd rather not go down that lane again

Even if Dr. Luke does not produce, she might still use his company Prescription Song's for songwriters like on the "Witness" album.

 

Max Martin was lacking on the Witness album to the point that people speculated that it was Dr. Luke that was in charge of Katy's sound. Max Martin was not a producer for "I Kissed a Girl" or "Hot N Cold", only a songwriter. Katy would need Cirkut and Benny Blanco on the team. 

I wonder if Oscar Holter will be co-producing as well, since his sound is "the current sound" that is heard on the radio these days; he produced "Cry About it Later" on Smile.

Well, Katy needs all the help she can get so if that's what it takes for her to make some sort of noise then good for her.

 

No one expects moral values or decency from the nun's slayer, Katy Perry anyway

Hopefully not, bad controversy is the last thing she needs for her come back but it's Katy so you know some dumb decisions will be made...
