I was listening to George Michael's 1996 masterpiece Older (go stream it) and it kinda hit me how well Adele could pull off some of these songs. (She was already teasing it to an extent with All Night Parking.)

 

Something lounge-y and jazz-y would suit her like a glove:

 

Or maybe some bossa nova-inspired tracks like these (see: her Lovesong cover):

 

And of course a tasteful pop BOP in this vein, perfect for radio and to sell the album:

 

So what do y'all think? I'm seeing at least 10M sales and three Grammys.

I'm fine with anything that would make her use and explore her low register more. All Night Parking is the perfect example that her low register > upper range.

But she did on 30, but she tends to play it safe when it comes to her singles (especially the leads), giving people the (false) impression that she doesn't evolve. 

This might cause meltdowns but I could actually see Harry Styles going for a George influenced era before Adele.

All Night Parking is an exquisite track and let's hope it's an indication for what's to come in her next era. The geepee and fans are kinda over the same old ballads, 30 as a whole is a good album but they really didn't sell it well, TBL should've been the lead, then CIGI, hell even WWW should've done it because it has RITD vibes and that's what's missing lately in her new songs. That one and CBT relegated to bonus tracks on some obscure edition, that idea was the worst, too.

I'd love if she went full out into liquid funk and deep house. That'll suit her voice well.
