People who know how to write songs steal credit too sometimes. It's part of the game. Blame the system that the major labels made when they realized in the 50s that they can market subpar mentally fragile singers from small towns as "artists" instead of singers and exert much more control over them because of their fragility, lack of connections, and inability to keep their career going without being propped up by marketing, not Beyonce or Lady Gaga. The tonedeaf masses of morons eat that **** up and now everybody has to pretend to write EVERY song they put out.

Her decline is actually baffling. The run from Red-Lover was immaculate other than a few questionable singles. Stolen credits are the only explanation.
