Kesha lying to Gaga in leaked text messages that Katy got raped by Luke always baffled me. Like what was she trying to achieve exactly here? The fact that that Gaga got a whole psychotic break because of the deposition is infuriating. She would never have to do it if Kesha wasn't lying out of her ass just to get sympathy from industry peers when Gaga would have believed her regardless. Also Katy being forced to admit she kissed Luke on the lips in her deposition was also infuriating. She also gave Luke a pass for being a pain in the ass because he's a 'genius'. She seemed very neutral which was expected. Also Kesha's lawyer claimed Gaga was also raped by Luke which was even more weird. Within 30 minutes Gaga's team released statements debunking this. To this day I believe Kesha, however I still think she got really desperate and was fueled by hate and substances to do whatever she can to get out of her deal. The whole thing is just so sad and I'm happy she's free now.

The scariest part about all of this as a monster/cat imo is that we now know with full certainty that Luke actually did those things to Kesha and she properly reported it to authorities the second it happened, and she still had to lie on half the industry and legally force them to get involved and cause that huge press spectacle to get any semblance of justice. It shined a light on how ugly women are still treated in this industry, even the most successful and powerful ones.
