Dua Lipa and Katy Perry. These two pop singers get compared to each other a lot on ATRL.

 

Now that it's been 4 months since Dua Lipa released her lead single off of her 3rd studio album, Houdini, let's compare it to Katy's third lead single, Roar.

 

Which one was/is/will (be) bigger?

Houdini = 7 letters 

Roar = 4 letters 

so Houdini is bigger factually ! 

“Roar” was never the uptempo lead single I needed it to be. For me “Houdini” wins hands down.

This is the dumbest comparison I’ve seen in a while

Houdini tanked and Roar was (somehow) one of the biggest songs in 2013. So Roar technically I guess.

Dua never reached the heights of Katys career tho. A better comparison for KAty would be Gaga

They have nothing in common and they never will. Dua outacclaimed Katy to death and is much more respected than the American Idol chanteuse.

It's more that Dua is the new Katy (which can't be true with the current performance of her third era), but you're correct overall (as usual)!

"Houdini" is bigger than any Ellie song since 2016 at least.
