Ariana should just copy Taylor!

Featured Replies

With Taylor she's the most constant on having big debuts on streaming platforms. She has both a very loyal big fanbase and instantly interest from the GP too when something new comes.

I'm not fan of everything from her by right now I really like the aesthetics of the project and the first single...but two months before the record...i could forget about it or lose interest.

Since she's very similar to Taylor for what I said (big interest in the first day from both fans and the GP) wasn't better from her label to just copy Midnights strategy (no songs until the album) which was very very fortunate.

I think that would have gave it easily bigger first numbers.  People were very interested to listen to first single and they would have listened to everything.

What do you think?.

She kinda did that with Positions, the lead single was released one week before the album. We're happy to have a longer roll-out because her eras are already too short.

if you really keep up with ari, then you know that she really keeps her eras short. sweetener was totally overshadowed by tun. So I kinda like this direction. better than releasing the lead and the album the same month like she did with positions.

It's very hard to carry eras after album release, the usual strategy imo is keeping the strongest single as close to the album release as they can, maybe they think the second single will be doing just as good or better (TUN -> 7R, even BUWYGIB would have hit #1 if it wasn't blocked by Ariana herself)

For Taylor it works because she has just SO much stuff to release that it doesn't make sense to drag eras out

Ariana isn't as driven as Taylor

u could already sense that she achieved what she wanted and now she will slowly fall back and do other stuff

along with the fact that Taylor is super business oriented when it comes to her music, her strategies are far ahead from many of the Top artists

Ari just doesn't want to :michael:

But Yes and? did Massive numbers tho:rip: She is already successful. She don’t need to copy Taylor. Lmfao

I agree that it would’ve done better streaming numbers, but it’s clear the album was finished recently and physical copies wouldn’t have been ready like they will be by March

also, as amazing as Midnights roll-out was, it also affected the songs’ peaks, she could’ve had AH, LH, and Karma has #1s with pre-released singles

this way yes, and? can go #1 hopefully, and the 2nd single will have chances too with the release week and album release, that’ll help the album longevity too
