Celine’s Christmas album, These Are Special Times, was released in 1998 and was a worldwide smash. It’s certified 6x platinum in the US and sold approximately 12 million worldwide.

So why doesn’t she have a Christmas classique smashing on a yearly basis? There are amazing originals and covers. 
 

I believe her version of Happy Xmas is her most popular song from the album but that isn’t regarded as her Christmas hit. 

 

The #1 single, I’m Your Angel, has effectively been erased from her catalog so not even that one can be resurrected. But it’s not even Christmasy so it doesn’t count. 

If Christmas Eve and I Met An Angel On Christmas Day were promoted, would the GP get into them?

Happy Xmas (War is Over) is a staple in my Spotify 

The Prayer (ft. Andrea Bocelli) is a Xmas classic in my country.

Her War Is Over cover is like the second most popular version of the song and is played constantly every year 

I grew up hearing her version of O Holy Night and Feliz Navidad all the time

The Magic of Christmas Day (God Bless Us Everyone) is being slept on I fear. 

This #1 masterpiece is her Xmas classic and number-one.

Her O Holy Night is a staple too. 

 

Plus she and her team don't promote her christmas catalogue. Like, they don't care. Pretty sucks because TAST has a lot of gems that need attention.

 

Songs like Christmas Eve, Don't Save It All For Christmas Day, The Magic of Christmas Day could gain momentum if her team push them. They are better than some of the xmas songs around.

Her O Holy Night is doing 103k daily.

 

Mariah’s is doing 492k.

her high note in O Holy Night

Yes it is. The album did produced classics like [the unfortunate] I'm Your Angel, Happy Xmas, O Holy Night and The Prayer with Andrea Bocelli.

 

If only her label actually did an ounce of energy to promote and push this record (like Brenda Lee's label pushing that song), it would definitely have done way better. Like playlisting and stuff.

 

But to that question, The Prayer is a classic from the album nonetheless.
