Hi everyone. Today's my 15th anniversary of joining ATRL. I was 14 when I joined, during the excitement of the Circus, The Fame and I Am...Sasha Fierce eras. Hannah Montana was still on and Taylor Swift was just beginning to make her mark. I was a very immature kid when I joined, but I loved music and loved to discuss it and loved to have fun. The games section and the blogs sections basically became my go tos on here with me also checking out Your Top Ten, base, charts and Music news as well.

 

I've had my share of trouble on here, at one point being known for my meltdowns, but I've softened up from those days. The real world can really put into perspective how much IRL things can hurt. I don't give myself credit for being the most mature person ever but I can say that I've evolved over the years. I'll be turning 30 in January and I can say that I'm glad I can still call ATRL a safe space to express myself and have fun.

 

The best advice I can give to others is to not get involved in the Stan wars and just be here to enjoy the music. 

 

In honor of my 15 years I've created this playlist of my favorite songs from 2007 to now . 2007 was the first year I really got into music so it only made sense to include that as well .

if only I knew about atrl when I was 14, I would have loved it

This place was at its peak when pop girls were ruling the charts but poptimism wasn’t yet widely accepted. So where else could fans go to celebrate their faves and discuss the music? It was so much fun around here.

2010-2013 were the best times on this site and for Pop music from that decade, in general.

As a fellow late 2000s entrant (aka when TRL was still on), congrats on 15 years on here.

So the day you joined ATRL is closer to your birthdate than today's date.

Hi sis @MusicLoverDude we're right around the same age (I'm also a '94 baby- turning 30 in May! ) and I joined just a couple years after you when I was also a kid. I'll definitely listen to your playlist and reminisce
