Joanne was a really poor album.

  • I voted Joanne because I think Katy is really annoying and I never listened to Smile, but now I'm drunk and bopping to Smile so hard

  • Harleys In Hawaii alone >

I’m sorry Smile for me. I don’t think the album is as bad as ppl make it out to be but she did release poor singles though outside of two.

Joanne has nothing close to Never Really Over, Champagne Problems and Cry About It Later so Smile

Serving taste I see :jonny4:

Both are bad but Trashcanne > Smule

I do love Harleys in Hiroshima as a single (point for Smell), but Juana has Perfect Delusion and is not clown themed :deadbanana4:

Is Joanne seen as like a masterpiece in Gaga's discography?

No, it's disliked by ATRL.

Least favourite album from both but Katy absolutely shrieking “daisies” in the shrillest way possible marks that album as the worst of the two.

Joanne is better album for me overall, my fav are: Just Another Day, John Wayne, PI, MR, SP, DH, and DIC.

The songs I liked from Smile are Only Love, HIH and NRO

Joanne’s materials are kinda diff and unwelcoming to the mainstream but it actually has some good sounds in it like Dancin’ In Circles, Sinner’s Prayer and Diamond Heart along side the singles. Perfect Illusion was indeed a shocking disappointment at the time of release when EDM was dominant, but it by itself is not rly that bad overall.

Smile is actually a decent album, the theme, the choices of single, and the marketing ruined all of its potentials. My favorites are Never Really Over, Teary Eyes, Cry About It Later, Harleys in Hawaii, Only Love, and Tucked. Perhaps it’s the only Katy album that I like more non-singles than singles.

Smile is def the better album Legit can't listen to Joanna except for maybe 2 tracks.

Panne(d) for all.

I don't like Joanne at all. The only song I go back to all the time is MR. The problem is that Million Reasons is better than every song on Smile. It was such a major turning point in Gaga's career.

But HIH alone is better than everything on Joanne except MR.

Then you have NRO, Smile, Cry About It Better, Not The End Of the World and Resilient.

The better album is definitely Smile. Katy delivered a solid cohesive album that knew exactly what it was. Gaga delivered an iconic career changing song.
