Midweek predictions (2/22): NLU #1, Abracadabra #12
Without a good radio deal and pure sale im not expecting to it to go #1 or top 3 but it will be nice if this song reaches top 10. Hopefully Gaga will score 1-2 more top 10s once Mayhem comes out

Will Gaga get a solo hit before this decade ends?
Interscope doesn't really promote radio for their artists well even for their big names like Gaga so unless she secures a very good song that is Gaga and somewhat agrees to the GP then she may not be able to compete 🙂↕️

Looking back: Thoughts on Witness & Smile?
I hated Witness when it came out, CTTR, SAD, SS, AMA and Roulette were the only songs I could listen to, but a year or so later I started enjoying more other songs from the album, notably the titled track and Bigger Than Me. I didnt enjoy Daisies and Smile the song when they came out as singles, and I still don't. Yet the album Smile turned out to be better than I had anticipated. Teary Eyes, CAIL, and Tucked coulda been chosen as singles. NRO and HIH coulda also turned the table around if she had saved till 2020 and release them as official singles from the album and promoted them better. 143 is her most cohesive album to me sonically even though she coulda done more with it. The lyrics in most song feel kinda hollow, incomplete, or just kinda childish. But I think this era coulda also bene better if she had chosen singles wisely. From Witness to 143, none of these albums is completely awful and lack potential. It's the way the chose singles and promote them and the eras in general catalyzes her downfall that no longer seems to be salvageable.

Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion - "Bongos"
The song is imo not as aurally amusing as WAP but the MV is legit fire and it proves that Cardi B is a strong contender for the Vanguard Award. Her team already did the MV well and made her go on a radio tour hope they’ll keep pushing this song as the success of this song can help with her upcoming era.

Paparazzi vs. Style
Both are fascinating but I pick Paparazzi cuz Gaga managed to put out this classic when she just entered the pop game!
-
Is Gaga's Paparazzi a classic? (reminder: song revival thread 500k streams)

Haha this has happened before and eventually she sold out all of her LV shows and broke records with them

Joanne vs Smile
Joanne’s materials are kinda diff and unwelcoming to the mainstream but it actually has some good sounds in it like Dancin’ In Circles, Sinner’s Prayer and Diamond Heart along side the singles. Perfect Illusion was indeed a shocking disappointment at the time of release when EDM was dominant, but it by itself is not rly that bad overall. Smile is actually a decent album, the theme, the choices of single, and the marketing ruined all of its potentials. My favorites are Never Really Over, Teary Eyes, Cry About It Later, Harleys in Hawaii, Only Love, and Tucked. Perhaps it’s the only Katy album that I like more non-singles than singles.
-
What do you think of Perfect Illusion in 2023?
The bridge remains the most outstanding part of the whole song imo
-
Say 3 nice things about "Stupid Love"
1. It’s the perfect song to listen to when u do a catwalk to feel good or put makeup on ur face. 2. The concept for the MV is interesting and has potentials. 3. It stands out in the album Chromatica musically.

Taylor, Gaga, Bey, Rih, Adele - biggest?

Why did YouTube streaming die off for western artists?
I think bco the rise of Spotify, Apple Music & Amazon Music that makes audio streaming more prevalent and since users have to pay for these they don’t wanna just spend their money and then go listen to music somewhere else like Youtube. Plus, Apple Music & Amazon Music also have video streaming with better quality for those that like visuals.
