I think Dave has a bigger chance of breaking through in America (plus, he washed him on the EP).

Lets pretend his wikipedia which says he's 1/4 black is true, he has naturally white skin (that he tans up) and pretty much straight hair (that he braids) and is only 1/4 black yet he even uses the N word

If it was his Dad, he would just say he's mixed or half black when asked, but he avoided it because he's not

 

I'm pretty certain he's 0% black and appropriating black culture. Even putting black girls in his music videos to look more black whilst with a white girl IRL

I think his looks, personality, and connections are boosting his appeal. Outside collabs and freestyles, most his music is mid.

Even tho I like both of them, I think Dave deserves it more. Similar to Ice Spice this one of them moments where the lighter skin artist bursts into the industry vs the more talented darker skin artist.

To @Saintlor point- I don’t think hes exactly a fraud moreso its an identity crisis. Similar to Drake, he grew up well but long term friends w/ urban kids which led to this image + given his success with that apparel, he further marketed himself with that look.

I don't care whether he is or isn't but the way I want him to turn me inside out
