I totally love her new Pop Gothic Rock direction, but I don't think it's very mainstream-friendly. She did her thing, evolved, and showed us a new side of herself with "Holy ****" and some of her new singles and her new Revamped Album.
Now it's time for a change. She's fading more and more in the charts 
 

Personally, I think this is Demi's best album. It's a good mix of electronic pop,R&B and soul?
I feel like This genre really suits her.
If she releases another body of work like this one, Im totally sure she could regain some momentum.

Should Demi go back to her urban sound and expand on that? 
Or maybe im wrong and this album was not that good?

 Her best album & era easily

This album is not R&B and I wouldn't even consider Demi R&B. Some of you all need to research what R&B is. SMDH.

Youre right this is not a Pure R&B album

This one Is Pop With some R&B vibes-undertones.  Like some Ariana albums and Selena Ones. 
Songs like Body Say are Pop,Tropical House,R&B

For R&B we have Ciara-Tinashe-SZA-Jhene Aiko-Janet....

Yes! Tell me you love me was her best album by far. I felt like she finally found her sound with that album. I don’t know why she didn’t continue on this path.

Anywaysssss in the interest of avoiding labelling genres, I would be happy to have all of Demi’s future projects in the styles of TMYLM or HF. I think both are perfect fits for their voice. HWGA is still my favourite album from their discog. But both of these projects are close runner ups.

Her music since DWTD has been FIRE and she's served multiple genres since it so I'm fine with whatever she wants to do.

The thread title and op references R&B. Reading can be hard sometimes. I am not pressed just making sure certain white artists aren't labeled R&B when they are not.

The way you threw colour in as if we wouldn’t notice the racist undertone that white artists can never be considered r&b artists (regardless of whether Demi was serving r&b or not). Tell it to the Grammys sis who throw every black pop artist into the r&b category. It’s the exact same thing in reverse. Let’s not gatekeep genres, especially considering half the music nowadays is influenced by multiple genres in the same way TMYLM is

Not saying white artists as a whole can't be R&B, certainly not gatekeeping a genre either but let's not categorize her as R&B.
