I don’t think her new team knows what they’re doing . The album rollout was good, but everything after the album’s release is confusing. I’m not even sure what the second single is.

 

but GUTS is still one of the biggest albums of the year, so it’s not like it’s an underperformance.

The album is still top 10? vampire is just outside the top 20 due to the Bad Bunny album bomb but it already spent like 3 months in the top 10, the problem is that it's not clear what's the next single

Just watched her The Lounge concert. Ngl I was a fan but now I'm an air-conditioner. She was so good wtf.

Honey Guts is not a flop. 

 

It's just that get him back! and bad idea right? didn't really click as much with the geepee as deja vu and good 4 u and even vampire. And yes, the random bad idea right? release in august kinda set the album down a little (in my opinion), that one should've been a surprise that came with the album. It would've done much better if it got released when get him back! dropped.

Should've released another album before Sour Tour, taken this year off, and came back with something else in 2024. This just isn't really clicking with the GP like Sour

Bad idea right being #12 on POP radio is a GUTS move

Finally listened to this album in full and it's quite good, definitely an improvement over Sour to me. I especially liked lacy and love is embarrassing.

My classmate, whom I helped in the exams, asked me what I wanted as a gift from Brazil. I named the album Olivia and he brought a signed copy on the disc. I was so shocked and happy.

 

I am surprised that her fan base isn't consuming the album as much as Sour (a repeat of the WWAFAWDWG -> Happier Than Ever situation with Billie). I still feel the tour is evidence that she's crafted a deeper connection with her fans reminiscent of Taylor. Despite Taylor's monstrous following and album sales in her early years, it wasn't really until Red that she really started to dominate the broader pop landscape. Olivia saw initial success right out of the gate, but the connection with the fans is more important right now than pop singles.
