Who Can Save The Year?

Featured Replies

Yes, I know a bunch of Indie acts like Caroline Polachek, Kelela & Fever Ray delivered this year already. I'm talking about big mainstream releases which have been lacking this year so far!

Who can save us from starvation?

recently timbaland said JTs new album is back to roots music so maybe him?

Olivia definitely will. OR2 will be a big cultural moment and I will support every single drip of the era we get

List your faves of the year, I want to know!

So we have Kylie Minogue & Nicki Minaj's releases confirmed, what else?

Watch half of the artists y'all think are releasing this year not release a damn thing...

Sorry but as a fan of Taylor’s I just don’t be feeling the musical droughts y’all talk about :dies:

cause my favorite -mainstream- artist consistently delivers quality and quantity so I’m satisfied on that front, then my less mainstream favs tend to deliver quality as well. Like, Ryan Beatty’s album might be album of the year for me personally. Lana’s Ocean Blvd is a great album as well. Melanie, 6LACK, boygenius, The National, Paramore, SG Lewis… whew I’ve enjoyed plenty of albums across all genres this year.

But even on the pop front this year I’ve really enjoyed Ava, Ellie, Jessie Ware. So the year doesn’t need to be saved in my book, but I hope it is for y’all

That's because they don't know how to use explore functions of Spotify :fan:

If Bey releases act ii and it matches Rena’s quality we won’t need nothing else. But we still have Olivia and Nicki to look forward to.

Outside of the mainstream we have Jessie Ware, Kali Uchis, Lana Del Rey, Kelela, Caroline Polachek, Fever Ray, Janelle Monae, Yaeji, Boygenius and  Amaraae with albums out already, and Jorja, Romy, Roisin, Jayda G and possibly FKA twigs with albums coming too. I’m served.

That's exactly why you're completely oblivious to it. :skull:

Even with all of Taylor's success, the whole era is being overshadowed and carried by antihero so it doesn't feel like a proper era. I dont want to listen to literally any of those artists you mentioned, I dont even know any of them and I never liked Lana dont care for her never have never will and i dont see the appeal, shes boring whisper overrated. I was looking forward to ava and ellia but they failed to match the quality of previous efforts. ellie still hasnt come back with songs as good as love me like you do, burn, or lights. ava flopped completely. I dont know who this jessie ware chick is that i keep seeing but im not interested. keep living in your bubble though.

pop music is dead though.
