Oh this thread is fantastic timing, I woke up and decided to listen to Solar Power to see how I felt about it now compared to when it first came out (second half still falls flat, first half is great though) 

 

The Path is definitely Top 3 on the album and better than SP (song) but, I don’t think any of the songs would have been a “better” intro to the era than the title track though!

    Solar Power is underrated and overhated. It's a great album with some fantastic songs.

    im currently obsessing over solar power again and yes, a whole bop. "Teen millionaire having nightmares from the camera flash" :monkey:

    I don’t understand why Solar Power gets so much hate. Personally I think it’s a great record, even the bonus tracks are enjoyable and I can still listen to it from start to finish without getting tired.

     

    The Path, Solar Power, Mood Ring, Hold No Grudge are great pop tracks
