I mean, look at the material. The charisma, the wordplay. If her new album is pure rap as we've been led to believe, I think we could be in for an eat 

 

 

 

 

Her strongest songs are always the ones when she decides to focus on rapping so I agree! 

 

What she did best however, was effortlessly crossing humour and talent into her songs, which I think this new era will unfortunately lack with the more "serious" approach, and that is unfortunate. 

Rules & Tia Tamera are songs that got me into her.

I perfer her singing songs and pop gems. But she's a good rapper too I just adore her cute tone of voice 

i disagree, i think she's okay but the lyricism is pretty basic and the flows sound like other rappers

 

i think she's better at vocal production. if she leaned into r&b with a lil bit of rapping she'd smash hard

While she's very talented in multiple fields, I have to agree, rapping is where she shines, I mean, for once, the rapper knows how to rap, her flow and delivery are so good to listen to.

i  like her singing more .

yes rules is one of her best, her singing is great but i think she shines when she raps

She does good the both ways no need to compare

She’s honestly very good at both.  
 

Which is why there are so many debates that happen around her being a “real rapper”.  People can’t process being good at multiple things.  

Limiting a female...very ATRL esque.

 

How about she does artistry best!

 

She's a fusion artist...and it all comes together quite well without people needed to pick and choose

You know…that’s what I feel like im most worried about with this era.  The fun Doja is just everything.  
 

She can still showcase rapping skills AND be fun/playful.  
 

But I get that’s why people don’t take her seriously as a rapper (her being comedic)…so I KINDA get why she’s leaning more serious.  

Idk…we’ll just have to see.
