I’m sorry but Flowers isn’t groundbreaking. Midnight Sky deserved this attention.

anyways, Midnight Sky DESERVED this success. Now that was one heck of a quality single

Shallow was huge and sonically different from all of Gaga’s previous #1 singles, plus it won an Oscar. Flowers is just a mediocre Bruno Mars song.

Yes, although Shallow is better.

 

Flowers is kind of generic and it's only doing incredible because of the lack of competition.

FLOWERS is BIGGER obviously but SHALLOW is such a respected classic already 

No Shallow and its parent album both did well. ARUTW/INLA have great streams/sales despite not being full fledged singles. Flowers did well because of tik tok relatability but nothing else did. 

"Flowers" is pretty mediocre.
