Jaded is the best song on ESV and an instant favorite for most people.

 

The song was released as a single a few weeks ago but is already getting negative Radio updates and the MV seemed to have no effect on Streaming.

 

Why is the GP ignoring this anthem?

Flowers is cannibalizing everything.

 

Miley has done no promo.

 

The second single just got pulled a month ago.

Because y’all see album tracks placed at the beginning of an album with higher streaming numbers during release week, and gaslight yourselves/artists into thinking the song is a hit waiting to happen, and not just a result of its placement on the track list.

Jaded is a cute song, but Island is the real summer hit waiting to happen.

Singles do not do well after the album release anymore and Flowers is still huge. Adele only had one hit with 30, same with Taylor and Midnights. 

 

Olivia Rodrigo launched 3 singles before the album with enough distance between them to shine individually. Ariana same with Positions and 34+35.

 

Beyonce managed to get one with Cuff It but I figure that was because it was a slow burner and BMS was not a massive smash like the others. I really hope when Rihanna comes back she is able to get 2-3 hits from R9.

Music Videos don't have any impact anymore. Unless you are a Latin or K-Pop artist no one cares and no one is streaming music on Youtube.

island is such a vibe and the disney+ performance made the song 10000x better for me

Lbr, the GP has awful taste most of the time. It's pretty surprising to me the album hasn't fared slightly better with Flowers being such a monster hit, it's easily some of her best work to date. Hopefully it's a slow grower to the go and will gain in popularity.

Despite Flowers still smashing, the era lost all momentum.

 

The video was pretty boring to make an impact.

It took me to the 3rd post to learn who a Jaded is.

Columbia ran out of money after investing all their payola and playlisting for Harry unfortunately. Miley being radio silent doesn't help either, most people offline probably have no idea she has an album out.

I like the song, but it’s a bit too similar to her previous work.

Just because you guys keep saying "Jaded is the best song on ESV!!!1" does not make it true  

It sounds like it belongs on a 2010 OST album. But keep shouting that into the abyss  

 

ESV has better songs but on initial listen it is clear that there were no other smashes on the album aside from Flowers and I said this on release day.
