That's actually a good comparison, hard to answer.

 

PRISM has two gigantic singles and the better album sales. But ME's success is more consistent. It has 4 big/sizeable hits and huge streams to back it up.

 

I'll be going with My Everything chart wise. But Katy was definitely the bigger star during the PRISM era.

Katy keeping up with Ariana that peaked as a celebrity in the streaming era is impressive to me considering that My Everything is the biggest collection of hits for Ari, while PRISM is not for Katy. Katy is told to be over for 9 years now, so her streaming numbers might not be as impressive as Ariana, but considering that PRISM also sold twice the amount of ME, has 2 bigger smashes than anything that Ariana ever released, has a tour that outgrossed My Everything tour by 150M $, and Katy had the star power to send Roar, Dark Horse and the album itself to IFPI top 10 lists (with Dark Horse as #2 of 2014), it's really not that close.

Prism has two monster smashes and a bunch of smaller ones, and sold more as an album. ME had four big hits and catapulted The Weeknd to superstardom. I’ll give the edge to Prism here.

Prism had bigger hits and a bigger tour and better first week sales as well. like its a nice comparison but Kathryn takes it.

It’s close, Katy was the biggest star/celebrity but I think My Everything is slightly bigger 

Interesting comparison. I am going to give it to PRISM but some of its success was steam from TD. My Everything was an organic runaway success.
 

Still, I think that Katy was bigger in that era. 

My Everything has more longevity and more hits, but Prism is undeniably bigger. It’s a pretty apt comparison though, not sure why people are acting like it’s beyond reproach

I mean its crazy that songs like OLT that peaked at #13 ended up having more streams than any Katy song

I think that's because One Last Time is heavily associated with Manchester, so it's much more remembered than it would have been.

ME has many more hits and has more units sold ww. So that!

none of Ariana's songs are touching Katy's songs when you combine the streams from YouTube, unless you wanna erase the biggest service in the entire world
