Prism wins, they’re not that far in units and Prism had the bigger tour by miles.

Prism was bigger at the time, but I think ME will end up doing better in the long run

This thread just reminded me of how massive the good sis Katy was at her peak. Even as a former OKH, I had a hard time admitting its success. But now I can. 

 

PRISM absolutely destroys My Everything, no matter what that fanmade blog says in its figures. That era allowed Katy to headline the prestigious Super Bowl Halftime Show, and remarkably she was ONLY 7 years into a career when did it.

 

PRISM was #56 on the Billboard Decade-End chart whereas My Everything was N/A. KP3 launched 2 singles in the Billboard Hot 100 All-Time Chart as well.

 

The album is QUINTUPLE (!) Platinum for a 4th album, ME is 2x platinum (I know it's probably undercertified but still anywhere close to match PRISM's total units).

 

Katy's album produced 2 DIAMOND MONSTER SMASH HITS with incredible streaming numbers and great digital sales (Dark Horse & Roar exceed 6M downloads, mind you). Ariana Grande could only dream of producing these.

 

And finally but not least, the tour grossed more than $200M, which is more than any Ariana tour to this date.

ME is eligible for x5 plat 

Prism is 3rd album that launched a permanent decline 

ME is a 2nd album that launched 10 more years of success

 

I’m also pretty sure ME singles moved more units in the US than Prism singles.
