Bebe Rexha - 'Bebe'

They have literally done nothing to promote or support her. They only pushed I'm Good after it became viral and she asked David to finish it with her. And she personally asked Snoop and Dolly for the collabs through her own contacts. Warner is so trash and she probably can't say anything.

yeah I believe her when she said she was the one who chased down the Snoop and Dolly collabs just how she did with Nicki and "No Broken Hearts", which is funny because you'd think a record label would be the ones setting all that up but I love how honest she is with who she wants to work with and hustles to make it happen. Even worse though when thinking abt how the label doesn't do much for her

  • This album deserved so much better. I actually loved it, sonically, lyrically, melodically - people slept on it when it's the most sophisticated body of work she's ever put out.

  • She even has follow-up collabs that did okay like If Only I, Stars and One In A Million that she could put in the Deluxe to boost it.

  • we don't need a deluxe atp we just need a new album that's completely dance focused

at least it will have gold in us when i'm good reach 5 million units.

How can people stream her collabs so much and not give a **** about her solo material? I don't get it.

She’s not the one bringing the audience and reach for those collaborations.

Wow! That's a real shame but it's been so predictable.

The numbers really emphasize how not even the gays are checking / care for her. I mean this thread hasn't even made it past 40 pages for an album thread by a pop girl... that's bad. I think where she went wrong was failing to establish any identity of her own. She chased GP hits and appeased to radio music without establishing a core audience, which are essentially the people that show up to the tour and buy your album at the end of the day. It also doesn't help that she is still sonically searching for her sound and hasn't landed on something that stuck, although this album is a massive step in the right direction.

Every single one of her projects are sonically different from one another and don't say anything about who Bebe Rexha is as an artist. I Don't Wanna Grow Up, All Your Fault, Expectations, Better Mistakes and now Bebe. Like... what is the main selling point? Who are we supposed to connect with? The image overhaul in 2016 really did her in and she hasn't been able to escape the faceless radio fodder category since then.

The worst part of all of this identity searching is that Bebe is, immensely talented, both with songwriting and singing, so clearly there is a reason to root for her and follow her. I don't believe her record label has her best interest at heart when it comes to marketing or pushing her, in all regards. That's another issue that needs to be addressed because despite the massive success of I'm Good, it has virtually done nothing for her image or career (evidently) and has been failed to be capitalized on.

There is nothing to latch onto which is why she has never truly caught on, but I'll still root for her. :celestial5:

At the end of the day she's still rich and can live her life in peace though, so all the best to her.  :bird:

culturally we need to progress our view on artists because nobody has identity anymore… we were raised on the internet and have access to every song, every movie all the time. it’s really hard to pick a sound and work out who you are. i’m not saying you’re wrong but when you look at the careers of tinashe, fifth harmony members, dua lipa, kim petras, chloe, charli xcx, demi lovato, etc… they have all been through identity crisis. clearly there is a bigger issue here

I think with something like this she could've gotten more buzz

01 Heart Wants What It Wants

02 When It Rains

03 Call On Me

04 I'm Good (Blue) [feat. David Guetta]

05 Visions (Don't Go)

06 Stars (feat. PNAU & Ozuna)

07 Girl Gone Wild

08 Miracle Man

09 Satellite (feat. Snoop Dogg)

10 I'm Not High, I'm In Love

11 Blue Moon

12 Seasons (feat. Dolly Parton)

13 Born Again

14 I Am

15 Don't Exist

16 One In A Million

Wow the streams for this album is really tragic. Deserved so much better I'm sad

it's sad that Heart Wants What It Wants didn't take off when Warner actually tried pushing it on pop radio. I wonder how different the campaign would've fanned out if Call on Me or Satellite was serviced instead.

When’s stars due?

Thursday/Friday

I think their plan is if STARS becomes a decent hit, we will get that, One In A Million, Now You Don't Exist and the David Guetta Remix of Call On Me etc. on a deluxe version. I'm hopeful for that because those songs alone eat up most of the standard album.

After repeated listens, the only tracks I go back to are Satellite, Call On Me and I'm Good (Blue). The rest are just ok.

I'm not a fan of too many repeated words in lyrics and found most of the songs to have that as well.

honestly lack of promo and playlisting. it's definitely not because people don't like her or because the music at least in this era is bad because it's not

they still have the chance to do so aka pushing call on me or satellite but decided to shelve her to prioritize yet another dj collab it's frustrating for us rexhars and bebe especially

listen to it again with an open mind because wow i have this whole album to my surprise on constant rotation and i loathed better mistakes. after stars we're getting another dj collab as a single but i need another single to come from her album to drop asap i hope she secures a vma slot. really hope bebe sees it through and that her next album is all produced by david guetta. also so unfair of them to really on a collab where she's not the lead to determine how they're gonna manage the rest of the era smfh when it rains deserves a rap feature to complete it and make that a single asap bebe hit up iggy please

The artwork is CRAZY GOOD

Does anyone know what the deal is with Stars? Is it on the deluxe, and she's already plugging that, or just a random release? Seems strange to put out a song that isn't on the album you've literally just released?

I'm not complaining, just trying to figure out the logic.

she’s a feature, it’s not her song

will probably be tacked onto a deluxe if we get one
