I think her children have genuinely gotten in the way of her career as much as people said it wouldn’t. Like everything was leading to the sophomore after Up but baby #2 happened. 
 

But at this point it’s her fault tbh she’s pretty unserious about her music career.

Beyonce has 4 kids, and still released a banging album. Cardi doesnt care about her career. 

She's BEEN pushing it   Her album will still do well when it comes out eventually but it would have done way better if released in 2020 after WAP.

 

Becoming a mom definitely shifted her priorities which is understandable and also the fact that her ultimate goal was to become rich and she already did that.

I get not releasing when Money, Press etc. didnt smash as predicted but the fact she didnt release anything after back to back smashes Wap and Up  she's never getting as lucky again.

 

But probably she's not as invested anymore and the material has been sucking so she wouldn't even release it. See her 2022 single.

All of these were hits/smashes (minus Press, which did go viral and did decently I guess) so idk why she's so worried. She could've released an album mid 2019, after Money, Please Me, and Press, or Spring 2021 with Wap and Up. Honestly she could've probably released 2 additional albums by now.

Well to begin she doesn't have an ounce of talent. Secondly she never wanted to be an artist, she just magically got lucky and built her celerity status out of that and finally I think we all know she wouldn't last and she probably knows it too. She knows the album will most likely be a big underperformance compared to her debut, not only because it did really good numbers, but because her 15 minutes expired.

i don’t think she cares about music that much anymore and she cares more about business and brands cause music just isn’t her ambition, which is unfortunate but it’s her choice
