Her label is probably fed up with her not recooping all the money she probably owes them. She was just begging for a budget at the Superbowl party. Its giving shelved.   

 

Also, you'd have to be an idiot to not see that music was nevee her passion but a stepping stone to make money outside of it.  Rihanna gave us an album every year since 2005 up until "Anti". So no, they arent the same. 

 

It also doesnt help that she has to share her ghostwriter with all these other more popping female rappers. She probably getting scraps.

It's funny because her celebrity status and name value comes from her music and as a rapper. Does she think she will continue cashing cheques if she abandons music completely? Eventually people will not give a **** about her and think of her as the 15 minute fame outrageous rapper. It's not like she has built an empire ala Rihanna and even that was built on a big, iconic and commited career on music.
