Who has the superior catalog?

If this forum gave a dollar to the liddos everytime they made a katy vs paula thread they could have probably made chormatica a hit

Katy on both accounts.

 

Paula is a horrible singer that for a couple eras was only held up by dated 80s production. Rush Rush was basically only a hit because of her past success but her singing sucks COMPLETE ass and if people think Britney or Selena are bad singers, Paula is 10 times worse. She also had no artistic identity. The only thing she had was dancing and choreography going for her and once she lost the dated 80s production, she ended up falling off because she couldn't adapt like Janet, Madonna or Kylie did. 

 

A lot of people think 80s was the best decade for music but the production is horribly dated and the production on a lot of songs just drowned out how horrible a lot of people sounded, including Paula. 

 

Katy may not be the best singer either but she was smarter about songs that were in her wheelhouse and the main reason she ****** up her career was because she tried too hard to be taken seriously and that stupid Pixie Cut was worse than anything Paula tried to do to her image.

idk if I'd really compare compare them as hastily as some of you do  Teenage Dream-era Katy was a cultural fixture and icon on a rare level in pop. Paula had her success, sure, but I can't think of anything about her that was quite as iconic as Katy has been

Rush Rush > Katy's discography.

 

But Katy is more talented, Paula got good material but doesn't sound good on it for me.

Katy's music is just as tired as these comparison threads and she's about as talented as the users who open them, Paula it is
