She's rebranding again, normalizing herself without glasses and generally been going viral a lot more lately

Depends on the music direction and album length.

The only thing we know about it atm is she's supposed to collab with more female artists as opposed to her last album:rip:

I don't see her ever smashing. Mod success at most.

I never saw Jhene having a hyped era like Chilombo tbh:redface:

Maybe.

She needs a crossover smash like Boo'd Up or Kill Bill to initiate the smashing though. She has a very solid urban and artsy following, but she needs to appeal to a more mainstream audience too.

Not talking about something like Closer, because that song was too much of a radio bait. Something more organic that sounds like it comes from her wheelhouse but is also polished enough to sound accessible to a listener unfamiliar with her music typically.

No she’s more like a slow burner artist. Her music doesn’t smash outright but ends up performing good long term.

I think it partly has to do with her still being a very low-key artist unlike her contemporaries (SZA, Summer, Jhene, Kehlani etc) who are always a trending topic (for good or bad) which generates buzz for their new music.
