Featured Replies

Four years ago, Ariana released her fifth studio album thank u, next. It became her most critically acclaimed album and broke numerous streaming records upon release. It also spawned three top 2 hits including the #1 singles thank u, next and 7 rings that have gone on to become signature songs amongst her discography.

I was obsessed with this back in 2019, probably my most played album of that year. :jonny: BUWYGIB and IMH should've been #1s.

The way everyone was pretending that it was the official MV for 'In The Head' is always a kii :rip: Miss Gurl dropped the era so early

Iconic but Sweetener and Positions (ahead of its time btw) outsold in quality :sorry:

I also think many tend to forget how important this era was to her career. She was just a successful teen popstar during the mid-late 2010s but this era solidified Sweetener's effort in morphing Ariana into a full-fledged MPG and mature artist. It successfully transitioned her image and you can see that with the difference of album sales between her pre-2018 and post-2018 albums. Still one of the best moments in her career :clap3:

This era solidified her as an icon.

Up until this point she was serving singles artists. SHE FINALLY developed an album era and she is here to stay as long as she keeps it up.

Now the music was probably not the best artistically but it was catchy 7 rings was that girl. Thank u, next is a good eventual nostalgic bop.

I can't remember the other singles there was something about being bored with your boyfriend or girlfriend meh anyways.

Happy anniversary...this era made me into a believer for Miss Ariana

I thought it was released towards the end of February :deadbanana4: Fake Smile aka her best song deserved to smash harder than tun and 7 rings :cm:

Not only that, she was also serving features artist too. NTLTC was a cute pushback to that reputation but she completely destroyed it with tun and 7r. Truly a MPG moment!
