Set Me Free is pretty forgettable. TTT was great but I’m very over this funk era now

Ok after the first full listen:

Wallflower is EXCELLENT, what an easygoing breezy bop honestly not much explanation needed. This is one of those songs that just grab you and you don’t need a reason. At least for me. It just flows.

 

Blame It On Me- that guitar in the prechorus was already gagging me and then came that chorus  Jeongyeon and Jihyo!! Such a powerful vocal duo.

Got The Thrills- again the guitar strums in the prechorus gagged me, and the melodies and the constantly repeating middle-lines in this song are so beautiful 

 

Crazy Stupid Love- such a cute little heartwarming gem  Dahyun’s pen never fails. The melodies in the chorus are chef’s kiss. Nayeoncé’s sweet ass voice is really perfect for this song. 

 

Set Me Free- as I already said, it’s a good bop on its own, but the retro sound is overdone by Twice at this point and it’s not a banger on the level of I Can’t Stop Me or Talk That Talk, so it’s automatically my least fave in the album. 
 

Mina, Sana and Tzuyu also had really beautiful moments throughout the album. Their pretty tones really work in their favor when used properly tbh.

 

also I hate to say this but Dahyun ruined some parts for me this time with her raps Chae was also a non event in this album for me, while she was such a big presence in Between 1&2. A shame tbh. Next time maybe. 

the three vocalists always deliver so nothing new there. Jeongyeon shined a lot on the B-sides effortlessly so I’m happy. You always get a SINGER vibe from her and that continued here as well.
 

In conclusion, good job Twice. Still not their best body of work obviously, but this is another good addition to a long discography of gems and bangers so there’s that 

i know my ranking’s gonna change though lol

Thought I was going to hate SMF but the full chorus is actually kinda cute. Got the Thrills should have been the title, loved that one
