Not really? Basing on Gaon year-end charts:

HYLT - 587,120,040 (2020)+292,235,557 (2021)= 879355597

LG - 332,166,714(2020)+504,838,497(2021) = 837005211

Besides, HYLT had a higher peak.

LG has already passed HYLT in Gaon digital points

I do think LSG surpassed HYLT in 2022. But anyways, LSG was definitely just as big as HYLT in Korea :cm:

Ouuu not YG setting her up like this :deadbanana4:

Out of all rap songs, YG chose this song for her to cover?? :deadbanana4:

Teddy wrote those lyrics for her, despite the fact that she is a minor!? :rip:

Lovesick Girls didn’t do as well as HYLT, and same with Pink Venom & Shut Down. What NewJeans pulled off with Cookie/Attention/Hype Boy was the exception to the rules. If filming more MVs and some live performances would easily generate hits, then more companies would start doing that. The fact is when you start releasing multiple singles, you get diminishing returns, having multiple smash hits all at once is rarer and more impressive

(I didn’t say it’s not more impressive. But most companies don’t even care because they just want their groups to sell albums .)
Anyway I don’t get both HYLT and LSG are hits in Korea and internationally the same thing goes to Attention and HB.
It’s one thing to release your song with less than one month gap than more than a month. Both OMG and LSG did “worse” than the pre releases and I wouldn’t say they’re aren’t hits. The first single will always have more hype.

Add the fact LSG was released during Chuseok at the end LSG has overtaken HYLT at least in Korea.

I feel like I get what they’re trying to say, but I can’t explain it well :deadbanana: At the same time, there was obvious post-editing done to their “raw” vocals in those studio recording videos, so they’re still not making a point :rip:

And the mediaplay that "they are the only idol group" to do so whatever that means is... :rip:

The fact that SKZ had their biggest streaming months ever in the last 2 months without a comeback, why? How come TXT who just released a comeback in January still not being able to out stream SKZ in the same month?  I wonder what the MOAs who have been dragging SKZ ever since TXT's latest comeback gonna say?

SKZ Karma

"without a comeback" as if they didnt release a 25 track album in january

it would be embarrassing if they weren't getting more streams

YouTube was on its peak up until around 3-4 years ago. Now Spotify is where it’s at, with its exploding user-base all over the world

Their best song :clap3: It deserves whatever Dynamid achieved instead. One of my favorite Kpop songs of all time I fear

The way Big Hit and Hybe truly did them dirty with the McDonald's English releases on the 2020s and it's clearly known the members didn't feel authentic about the musical direction they been heading recently that's why they announced hiatus and going solo.

BE was the demarcation of where I think BTS truly represent what they want on their creative output.

That track album was released in DECEMBER and was mostly releases from their SKZ-Player (which is a mixtape thing) which has already been released on YouTube YEARS ago, though not officially (kinda like how GOT just did). They just finally released those songs officially on Spotify, which means that people had already heard those songs multiple times FOR YEARS.

But why did SKZ out stream TXT last month in January without a comeback then, while TXT had one, and why do they occupy the entire top 7 biggest streaming months for 4th gen bgs? How come TXT still not being able to surpass May 2022 aka their biggest streaming month, while SKZ keep outdoing themselves and reaching new peaks?

natalienunn-bgc.gif

TXT release their mini on late January so most of their stats will be up for February so let's not spoke too soon and set SKZ up. But then SKZ have full album Japanese cb later this month so we'll see which group will outstreamed by the end of this month

It's likely SKZ again

Can anyone explain why Koreans are immune to winter snoozes this year?

Where are all the random trot singers and Show Me The Money as well? How are the charts full of idol groups?
