Can you give me an example of this? Cause out of all the labels I probably follow SM the most and I don't know what you mean. If anything, legacy acts under SM skew away from trying to trend-chase and just tend to do their own thing. 

 

Idk, I mean Hard is not the sound I prefer from SHINee but I like the song and I don't really find it cringy. It's a more aggressive, hip-hop-influenced, performance-style song which is obviously very in right now but they've done plenty of those types of songs in the past and their interpretation of it is always plenty melodic and campy, and Hard is the same. It's basically an NCT song but poppier and less grating, which...if you're saying NCT songs are sonically palatable to the kids then I don't really know how to respond to that.

 

If anything I'm actually more excited about this comeback than the last one cause even though I love DCM (the song), I thought Atlantis + most of the b-sides were very milquetoast for SHINee so Identity, Juice, Feeling, and Like It have already won me over.
