Anyone with a brain would pick Flesh Tone

Gurl, Flesh Tone, the album that should be recognised as the progenitor to E.D.M entering the mainstream wins with ease. As per usual, Kelis is always ahead of the curve. Carefree American & Song For My Baby solos.

 

The other gave us something, and that is it. Something that did nothing in the long run.

Flesh tone is a groundbreaking classic.  It’s an insult to be compared to the other one. 

Name one song on Fleshtone that I should listen to.

To be honest, there's only one Beyonce album better than Flesh Tone. DiL

Ren is better, its like one of the best albums of all time.

 

FT is still really really good, though.

Acapella is one of the greatest dance songs of all time

Flesh Tone is flawless from start to finish.

 

Renaissance is decent but pales in comparision.

FT sounds dated and overproduced 

Both excellent albums. Flesh Tone is way more original and innovative though.

Kelis wins by far. An original album with true artistic vision, the other one is already dated, full of samples, and lacks any personality. 

Ren by a mile 

This is actually really hard

It's Ren by a bit for me, probably because it's fresher and I can't listen to a few songs on Flesh Tone as I used too but both are stellar works.

Renaissance is going to age like fine wine. It can be controversial to call an album a classic this quickly after its release, but it’s giving classic! Literally one of the best album experiences ever. Flesh Tone is also Kelis’ best work. Overall from production to vocals the winner is clear to me, but both are made by extremely talented black women! 

Flesh Tone makes Renaissance look like a Drag Race alumni album. 

Renaissance easily. 

There's no skips when listening to Renaissance but I avoid Emancipate on Flesh Tone like the plague

Renaissance is forgettable and derivative. Flesh Tone was truly a trailblazing record at its time and sounds great today so that.
