Nonetheless, the song became iconic in the sense that it was her first "flop," and ATRL began calling it a buzz single  Fans and GP were still blessed with a beautiful music video and, earlier this year, it made a resurgence on TikTok.

An amazing song, didn’t deserve all the hate

My bf kinda ruined this a bit for me the other day by saying that love always has conditions but it’s still such a gorgeous song and you can tell that it meant a lot to Katy. The visuals in the video >>>

For some ungodly reason this and When I'm Gone are the only KP songs that come up on my Spotify pop randomizer even though I never ever request them and there are so many other songs of hers I'd prefer to listen to. Oh well, the video is honestly great and the Uncle DeSean Ali meme is iconic.

I swear it doesn't feel like 9 years! Maybe 7.. I guess since the pandemic times go by even faster.

this beautiful song deserved so much better  so well-executed! i remember being best friends with this girl Katy and we would listen to it in her dads’ attic and light candles and talk about boys til her dads called us down for dinner… real good times. lyric video and music video were both stunning as well

Funny how it ended up becoming a hit. Imo it's the best single from PRISM

StubbornTy really wanted a ballad hit, Unconditionally never stood a chance against Dark Horse. It was a smash here in Italy, though!

Used to think the sound doesn't quite reach the feeling of the topic but this is such a great pop song that I keep going back now 

Her best song ever.
