because she’s signed to TDE 

 

A label that stands for putting the art first and profits second. Meanwhile her and Punch (CEO of TDE) have placed the blame on each other for YEARS regarding this new album and where the hell it is. 

 

I can only assume RCA doesn’t have too much of a say about what happens now that she’s not a new artist anymore, she’s already established and they’re essentially forced to wait for whatever she presents and they start planning rollouts from that moment onwards

not entirely true. there was a point where both sza and punch have stated it was rca causing issues with certain releases. i’m assuming that’s why punch made it a point to say in her latest interview that she has a two album contract with them and how he thinks it’s time to re-evaluate.

I think she got away with the delay because Good Days and I Hate U made numbers with no effort. They probably will release on the 28th because this week Taylor will dominate and the Nov. 4th Apple Music will be dedicated to Selena's new music and doc and she probably will get a lot of Spotify attention as well.

I truly don’t think SZA or her team are worried about those releases. The song is going to do strong debut numbers no matter when it’s released. Especially on AM where pop music doesn’t usually perform the best.

This is embarrassing for her tbh. She's literally never going to beat the liar allegations now.

 

Seems like every major outlet had pre-scheduled posts bc they were told it'd be released tonight, but someone wanted to pull out at the last second. I'm pretty sure a big part of the reason is due to the Taylor album drop and them not wanting 'Shirt' to be overshadowed or be competing in any way.

 

This is what her ass gets for not just releasing it last Friday.
